The Volunteer Program

About the Project

Do Something Good. In One of the World’s Most Beautiful Places. Sri Lanka is consistently ranked among the top 10 most beautiful countries to visit. Now imagine combining that unforgettable travel experience with the profound satisfaction of creating real, tangible change. Your skills and time are the engine of our mission.

Why Northern Sri Lanka Needs You:

  • Post-conflict rebuilding needs outside energy and perspectives
  • Communities eager to connect with the world
  • Your skills filling gaps local teams can’t cover

How can you support us?

Volunteers needed in the EU

If you are based in the Netherlands and Switzerland and want to help from home.

Every box of toys, every bag of clothes, every piece of equipment and goods  that reaches Northern Sri Lanka passes through European hands first. You can be those hands.

  • Roles: Sorting & packing donations, managing storage facilities, helping with local fundraising events, administrative support, driver for collections, Tutoring for English and Vocational and Communication Training and Support.
  • Commitment: Flexible. From a few hours a week to project-based help.

Volunteers needed from Sri Lanka

If you are based in Sri Lanka and want to serve your own people and community.

Some of our most valuable volunteers are Sri Lankans themselves. You understand the culture, speak the language, and know the needs intimately. Your contribution is irreplaceable.

What you’ll do:

  • Tree Planting Support: Help families plant and care for saplings
  • Community Workshops: Assist with farmer training sessions
  • Sports Coaching: Coach village teams using donated European equipment
  • Preschool Assistance: Help teachers integrate donated toys and support learning
  • Translation & Liaison: Bridge communication between international visitors and local communities
  • Distribution Support: Help ensure donations reach the right families with dignity

Time Commitment:
Flexible. Weekends, school holidays, or regular weekly volunteering.

The Special Reward:
You’ll witness transformation in your own backyard. You’ll see neighbors rise. Children play. Families eat from trees you helped plant.
